8th Grade Physical Science, 7th Grade World History, 6th Grade Ancient History, 6th Grade Bible and Middle School 

What do you love most about HCS?

The family dynamic of staff, parents and students. 

Why do you like teaching at HCS?

I love being able to incorporate Christian values and concepts in all of my classes. Being able to bring Jesus into any subject, in any lesson and see students use that knowledge is amazing. 

What is one word that best describes the school? Tell us why you chose that word.

Family. I chose this word because I believe that HCS truly exemplifies family. Especially for events that require the whole school community. Everyone steps up and is there for one another, just like family. 

How do you integrate faith and learning at HCS?

Outside of my Bible class, I try and bring Biblical concepts into the subject matter being taught. In History for example, when the content opens an opportunity to bring up Christ, I try and open up discussion with the class on whatever Biblical concept may be related. In Science, I try and show how something that seems impossible is made possible by God. 

What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?

One of the things I enjoy doing in my classes that I believe have helped shape the learning and experiences of my students is bringing personal stories from my own life or that of friends or family that show God’s amazing ness. I also bring my background in sports into my classroom to connect with students in a different way. My testimony is also a unique experience that I share with students to help them in their walk with Christ. 

What sets HCS students apart from other students?

I believe what sets HCS students apart from other students is their desire to seek knowledge, not only in the classroom, but outside of it. This includes seeking knowledge to help them grow in their faith.
