Start Your Child’s Journey at HCS

Choosing a school is a big decision. We’ve made the next steps simple, clear, and personal so you know exactly what to expect.

A Clear Path Forward for Your Family

At Huntington Christian School, admissions is more than paperwork. It’s a process designed to help you make a confident decision for your child. Whether you're early in your search or ready to apply, we walk with you step by step so nothing feels unclear or rushed.

How Admissions Works at HCS

Step 1

Visit the School

The best way to understand HCS is to experience it in person. Walk the campus, visit classrooms, and meet the people your child would spend their days with.

Step 2

Submit an Application

Complete the online application and provide recent academic records and a teacher evaluation so we can begin understanding your child’s current instructional level.

Step 3

Student Assessment

Your child will complete an academic assessment that helps us determine readiness and identify any gaps in content instruction.

Step 4

Enrollment Decision

Once everything is reviewed, by our Admissions Panel, we will share our decision with you (Accepted, Declined, or Waitlisted) and walk you through next steps. We can answer any questions so you can move forward with clarity.

What Most Families Want to Know

When should we apply?

We recommend applying early, as some grade levels fill quickly and may have waitlists. Applications are published online during the month of October - approximately 11 months ahead of the year you'd like to enroll

Will my child need to catch up academically?

Our curriculum typically runs three to six months ahead of many public school programs. Even some students who are offered acceptance may benefit from light summer preparation, which we can guide you through.

Can we transfer mid-year?

No, Huntington Christian School does not take mid-year transfers.

What happens after acceptance?

Welcome to the family! You will receive a Welcome Box in the mail and we will issue your Enrollment Contract. Once that contract is submitted, we will make sure you have all the information you need for a smooth and confident start at HCS.

Designed for More Than Just Acceptance

Our admissions process isn’t about filtering students in or out. It’s about understanding each child so they can step into HCS ready to succeed academically, socially, and spiritually from day one.
