A School Built to Help Children Flourish
For more than 45 years, Huntington Christian School has partnered with families to provide a Christ-centered education where students are known, challenged, and encouraged to grow.
More Than a School. A Community With a Clear Purpose.
Since 1981, Huntington Christian School has served families in Orange County with a clear conviction: education should shape both mind and character.
As a ministry of First Christian Church of Huntington Beach, HCS was founded to provide strong academics within a Christ-centered community, and that mission continues today.
What Shapes the HCS Experience
Academic Excellence
A strong curriculum, small class sizes, and a commitment to meaningful learning help students grow with confidence and graduate well prepared for high school.
Christ-Centered Formation
Faith is woven into daily school life through teaching, relationships, and the culture of the community.
A Community That Knows Students
At HCS, students are more than names on a roster. They are known by teachers, encouraged by peers, and part of a community that cares.
A Long-Term View of Education
Education here is not simply about performance in the moment, but about helping students grow into thoughtful, capable, grounded young people.

More Than Something Students Learn
Spiritual formation happens in both planned moments and ordinary ones.
It shows up:
in prayer before class
in the way teachers care for students
in how conflict is addressed
in opportunities to serve others
in the habits of character students develop over time
Faith is taught, but it is also practiced.

A History of Faithfulness
HCS began in 1981 with a vision for Christ-centered education rooted in both academic excellence and spiritual formation.
Over the decades, the school has grown, the campus has expanded, and generations of students have passed through its classrooms, but the heart of the mission has remained the same.
Families often come to HCS for the education - what they find is something deeper. A community that knows their child, supports their faith, and becomes a meaningful part of their daily life.
Accredited. Established. Trusted.
Huntington Christian School is accredited through both ACSI and WASC, reflecting a commitment to strong educational standards and continuous growth.
That commitment shows up not just in accreditation, but in the trust families have placed in the school for more than four decades.
