What do you love most about HCS??

The people. Everyone from the staff to the students and families are so kind. I am blessed to work at a place that is like an extension of my family. We get the privilege of sharing the ups and downs of life together.

What is one word that best describes the school? Tell us why you chose that word.

Community. I chose this word because I believe that like a thriving community HCS is filled with different people that have different personalities and talents, yet they all come together to build each other up. This different group of people all working together for a common purpose truly makes HCS a place that I am excited to work at and have where I feel blessed to have my kids learn and grow.

How do you integrate faith and your job at HCS??

My faith is part of everything I do. I believe as a Christian we are called to live out our faith in all aspects of our life. I am fortunate to work at a place where I can explicitly talk about my faith, pray, and encourage others in their faith. The decisions that I make and truly that we all make as a staff are driven first and foremost in our belief in Christ. Jesus has a calling for our lives and a plan for the lives of the families and students at HCS.

What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to your position at HCS??

I was actually blessed with the opportunity to attend a K-8 Christian school just like HCS as a student myself. Every time I work with a student I feel that this previous experience allows me to better understand what their student life is like and I can share my own experience with the students.

What sets HCS students apart from other students?

We have such an amazing group of students. They have deep compassion for others. I also get the privilege of seeing some of our students interact as student ambassadors at some of our various events and I am always impressed with how well spoken our student are in these different situations.
