What do you love most about HCS??

I love the culture here at HCS. Everyone loves their jobs, loves working with children, and there is a concerted effort to love on the students and nurture not only their academic walk but also their walk with God  

What is one word that best describes the school? Tell us why you chose that word.

Home. I am a former student of HCS, so I have spent a majority of my life within the HCS family. Its by no accident that because of the amazing experience I had as a student and the lessons I learned that I was drawn back to the school to work as a teacher.

How do you integrate faith and your job at HCS??

Firstly by setting an example of how Christ works in my life. Working as a PE teacher I have a different relationship with students and I get to know them and speak into their lives when they are struggling with school life or personal life. To be able to speak the truth of the gospel in those moments in an amazing thing.

What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to your position at HCS??

Being a former graduate of the school is a unique experience. I attended the school K-8, then went to public high school and a public college and have lived a life that glorifies God. I am able to share my experiences to the students, especially those about to attend public hs.

What sets HCS students apart from other students?

At HCS, students are able to build a firm foundation in their faith. Its that foundation that holds strong when faced with life adversities and temptations. They learn that whatever they go through that God is with them. They are surrounded by teachers that love on them constantly and are always thinking of new ways to show and express that love to them. They receive a top notch education that prepares them for their next educational path. It is a wonderful school to attend, and I am proud to be apart of that.
