Why did you choose HCS for your child?
We planned on sending our only daughter to public schools, but once she went to Pierside preschool, which had such a great Christian base, I just couldn’t imagine school without the Christian base. Plus once we looked at the smaller class sizes we were sold!
What do you love most about HCS?
So many things small and large. I love the community of families and how caring and involved they are. I love the administration who seems to listen and care about all our kids. The teachers are so loving, kind, knowledgeable, but still strong enough to keep the kids respectful and listening. The curriculum seems advanced, but fair. And I loved The small class sizes.
What is one word that best describes the school? Tell us why you chose that word.
Thoughtful. I chose this word because nothing seems to happen without sincere thought in all areas of the planning and student activities.
How is HCS partnering with you in helping your child grow spiritually?
I have open communication with the teachers and they have all been willing to keep me posted if my child needs help in certain areas or if she is going along a normal path.
In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experience at HCS?
She has learned confidence in her writing and math abilities. She is learning compassion towards others and that God is the center of her life.
How is HCS preparing your child for high school and college?
Well they seem to be ahead of the normal curriculum even in 2nd grade and building from there will be great for preparing for high school.
What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at HCS?
I would tell them if they want a God centered, loving, advanced school, with small class sizes, HCS is the place.
