Why did you choose HCS for your child?

HCS encompasses a strong academic curriculum with great teachers and staff.  The class size is ideal for a learning environment that is well balanced where it is not too small or too large. We love the Christian faith and the family feel of this community.

What do you love most about HCS?

I love the curriculum at HCS.  I know that my children (2nd grade and 7th grade) are getting a great education here.

What is one word that best describes the school? Tell us why you chose that word.

Valuable.  We value education and recognize the importance of academics.  HCS not only has a great curriculum but has a great Christian environment and  sports program, which is a plus.

How is HCS partnering with you in helping your child grow spiritually?

HCS provides a great and safe environment.  The Engage outing has been a good experience….It would be great to have something similar that continued throughout the year, such as a leadership class/project, public speaking, etc.

In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experience at HCS?

HCS has allowed my kids to feel safe, comfortable, learn and have fun and enjoy school at the same time.

How is HCS preparing your child for high school and college?

HCS classes are preparing kids with the necessary skills and education to be ready for high school.  I believe that HCS students will be prepared to take Honor or AP classes in high school with the education they are receiving at HCS.

What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at HCS?

We came to HCS when my older son was entering 5th grade and my younger son was starting kindergarten.  HCS would be the third school that my 5th grader would be attending. That being the case, I can objectively compare a few different schools.  HCS had the strongest academic curriculum…by far! I see the things that my younger son is learning in his current 2nd grade class (also K, and 1st grade), and it is far more advanced than the other schools that my older son attended.  I see firsthand how HCS is preparing so many different necessary skills to prepare them for their future. I actually feel that my older son missed out on learning opportunities by not coming to HCS sooner!
